More than 400 Baptists from across New Zealand are in Dunedin this week for the church's annual meeting and conference. Dunedin City Baptist Church leadership team member Helen Geddes said the Baptist Churches of New Zealand and the New Zealand Baptist Missionary Society Hui started today and would run until Saturday. It would include a powhiri and hui banquet at Araiteuru Marae today, a Baptist research dinner at Caversham Baptist Church tomorrow and a women's breakfast at Caversham Baptist Church on Saturday. A series of workshops would also be held at the Dunedin City Baptist Church's (DCBC) new facilities in Concord, Mrs Geddes said. The Baptist denomination is a network of more than 240 churches - the Baptist Churches of New Zealand.
