Govarthanmore-inNationalised banks on Friday highlighted the progress made by Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the last three years through an exhibition detailing reach of the various schemes, at the Sengunthar Higher Secondary School. District Collector S. Prabakar emphasised on people availing themselves of the utility of the beneficial schemes, while addressing the inaugural session of the exhibition. The potential linked credit plan for 2017-18 projects scope for stepping up the credit potential to ₹ 9564 crore and PSL target to ₹ 8766 crore. Banks in the district have made progress in linking bank accounts with Aadhaar and publicising the digital financial literacy awareness programs on mobile technology platform in 375 villages, through cooperative banks, Mr. Anburajan said.
