Hong Kong Official Receiver's Office issued 827 takeover or bankruptcy orders in November, up 16 percent month-on-month, marking a four-year record high. The number of bankruptcy petitions filed grew by 19 percent on a month-to-month basis, the highest in three months. Takeover or bankruptcy orders issued in the first 11 months reached 5,577, down by 20 percent year-on-year. Last month, the number of liquidation orders stood at 21 cases on a monthly basis while there were 201 cases in the first 11 months, a year-on-year decrease of 11 percent.
