City of London Police said the packages were sent to the building in Bank, central London, this afternoon. "Our officers are currently dealing with reports of two suspicious packages sent to the Bank of England. Threadneedle Street remains open," City of London Police tweeted. It comes weeks after three "improvised explosive devices" were found in London, including one near Heathrow Airport, one at Waterloo Station, and another at London City Airport.
