Bangladesh women's cricket emerging side made it through to the final of the ongoing Asian Cricket Council Emerging Teams Cup 2023. Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by six runs in a rain-curtailed second semi-final at Mong Kok Cricket Stadium in Hong Kong Tuesday. The game was reduced to nine-over-per-side in which batting first after winning the toss, Bangladesh posted 59 runs losing seven wickets. Chasing the target, Pakistan needed 13 off the last over which left-arm spinner Sanjida Akter defended giving away just six runs. The first semi-final between India and Sri Lanka was abandoned without a ball bowled and India advanced to the final backed by a superior net run rate to the opposition.
