Bangladesh men's team continued their impressive run in the SAFF Futsal Championship 2026 with a dominant 5–1 victory over Sri Lanka at the Nonthaburi Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The win marked Bangladesh’s second consecutive victory in the tournament and strengthened their position in the standings. Bangladesh started the match aggressively and took an early lead in the fourth minute through captain Md Rahbar Wahed Khan. Sri Lanka responded immediately, equalising in the very next minute with a goal from Mohamed Faiz. Although Sri Lanka managed to pull one back, they never looked capable of mounting a comeback.
