Bangladesh reports 1,685 new Covid cases, highest in four monthsBangladesh has recorded 1,685 new cases of Covid-19, the highest in a daily count since Feb 21, taking the overall tally of infections to 1,962,213. As many as 13,833 samples were tested across the country, for a positivity rate of 12.18 per cent, reports bdnews24.com. Among the eight divisions, Dhaka logged the highest number of cases with 1,584 infections. The latest figures put the recovery rate at 97.16 per cent and the mortality rate at 1.48 per cent. Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.
