Former president of the World Bank (WB) Robert B Zoellick was a bad, worthless man and responsible for cancelling the funds for Padma Bridge, said Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith. Today the WB can see their mistake, as the Padma Bridge is being constructed with government funding, he said. The finance minister further stated that his affairs were made transparent during the caretaker government of the country, rendering any allegations pointless. The procedure for installing the second span of Padma Bridge, with a serial number of 7B, started on January 28. Once completed, the Padma Bridge will stand over 42 pillars including two transition pillars on the two landward ends.
