Photo : CollectedDHAKA, Dec 22, 2025 (BSS)- Bangladesh High Commission in Port Louis observedInternational Migrants Day and National Expatriates Day 2025, highlightingthe vital contributions of Bangladeshi expatriates to host countries and thenational economy. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Muhammad Reza Cassam UTEEM described theinitiative of the Bangladesh High Commission as commendable and highlypraised Bangladeshi expatriates for their contributions to the development ofMauritius. He urged expatriates living in Mauritius to work with dedication and honestyto enhance Bangladesh's image and said the High Commission remains committedto protecting the rights of Bangladeshi citizens. The High Commissioner also encouraged Bangladeshi expatriates to exercisetheir voting rights by participating in the upcoming 13th ParliamentaryNational Elections. About 250 guests, including senior dignitaries of the host country, civilsociety members, media personnel, members of the Bangladeshi community,expatriates, and officials and staff of the Bangladesh High Commissionattended the programme.
