Bangladesh goalkeeper Shahidul Alam Sohel made a good save in the 15th minute but Kharoub broke the deadlock when he converted a Mahmoud Eid chip. Palestine missed a chance in the 42nd minute when a shot went outside the post and Sohel parried a strong shot in the 45th minute. But Palestine got the important second goal just after the break as Hamd made an inch perfect header off an Eid cross.
