Bangladesh has registered seven new deaths from COVID-19 in a day, taking the total toll to 27,887. Dhaka recorded the most new deaths and cases among the eight divisions, logging three fatalities and 198 infections, reports bdnews24.com. As many as 18,690 samples were tested across the country, which yielded a positivity rate of 1.32 per cent. The latest figures put the recovery rate at 97.7 per cent and the mortality rate at 1.78 per cent. Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.
