Restrictions will be eased from midnight on Jul 14 to 6 am on Jul 23, according to a notice issued by the Cabinet Division on Tuesday. After the Eid holidays end, previous restrictions will again come into effect and remain in place until Aug 5. The Bangladesh government imposed a week-long lockdown starting Jul 1 at the advice of experts as the Delta variant of the coronavirus, a more infectious strain, began to spread throughout the country. Lockdown restrictions will again take effect starting Jul 23 and end on Aug 5.
