Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya has said the Rohingya children who are born in Bangladesh will be recognised as Myanmar citizen. He said: “On humanitarian ground, the Bangladesh government has given temporarily shelter to the Rohingya fleeing Myanmar. “In the birth certificates, the government has recognised the newborn Rohingya babies as Myanmar citizens. Maya said the UNHCR has expressed their will to work on sectors like heath, sewerage system and drinking water. Earlier in the day, the minister met Filippo Grandi UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Filippo Grandi.
