The Norwegian minister lauded Bangladesh government’s actions against terrorism and violent extremism, particularly after the July 1 terrorist attack. Ali, on behalf of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, conveyed appreciation to the Norwegian prime minister for showing sympathy and solidarity with Bangladesh over the attack. Ali invited him to visit Bangladesh, which he accepted. The foreign ministry said the Norway minister agreed to undertake the visit on Feb 21 next year, commemorating the International Mother Language Day. The foreign minister exchanged views with the Bangladesh community living in Norway before he left for Denmark.
