Diya Siddique beat Iran’s Shojamehr Shiva in the Recurve women’s event by 6-4 to win the only individual gold medal for Bangladesh in the four-day long competition that ended on Wednesday. India won four gold medals out of ten to be on top while Iran, Germany, Chinese Taipei and Thailand got one gold medal each. The Recurve mixed team of India beat Iran by a comprehensive 6-0 while Pragati beat Germany’s Heignhauser Kristina by 144-136 in the Compound women’s event to win gold. But Germany’s team for the Compound mixed event beat their Indian counterparts by 156-153 to win their only gold in the tournament. Iran also won their solitary gold in the Recurve women’s team event as the side beat the Indian team by 5-3 sets.
