After winning the toss at BKSP, the Bangladeshi bowlers showcased a combined effort to bundle out the opponents for 138, before the batsmen reached 140/2 in just 24 overs to seal the match. Bangladesh’s 19-year old new-ball bowler Sumon Khan, who picked up four wickets each in their previous games against Hong Kong and India, continued his good form by grabbing three wickets. Sumon removed both the Nepalese openers before leg-spinner Minhazul Abedin Afridi and left-arm spinner Tanvir Islam joined the party, picking up three and two wickets, respectively. Bangladesh will face Afghanistan in the second semifinal of the tournament at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Thursday, while archrivals India and Pakistan will lock horns in the first semifinal at the same venue on Wednesday. The final will also be held at the same stadium on November 23.
