Letters have been issued to country directors and managing directors of 29 airlines operating in Bangladesh in this connection, CAAB Public Relations Officer AKM Rezaul Karim told bdnews24.com. Recently Samsung received reports from the customers of Note 7 catching fire while charging or upon being fully charged. The CAAB directive came after Qantas Airways and Virgin Australia restricted the use Samsung Note 7 in their aircrafts. “We've cautioned against use of electronic devices with Lithium-ion batteries in aircraft as there are reports of accidents from such devices,” said Rezaul. Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 is company’s latest flagship model came to market in August this year.
