She joined the world community to reaffirm Bangladesh’s “strong and unwavering” commitment to the principles and objectives of the United Nations. “Bangladesh will continue to contribute actively to international peace by advocating for universal and complete disarmament, as enshrined in our Constitution,” the prime minister said. “We are happy to see that this year United Nations has finally succeeded to adopt a Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.”
