Bangladesh, US officials hold Ticfa meet Wednesday

Wednesday’s meeting in Dhaka will be the first brainstorming under the agreement after the Trump administration assumed office in Washington. It is the third meet since the signing of the agreement in November 2013. Acting Commerce Secretary Shubhashish Bose will lead a 21-strong Bangladesh delegation while Assistant US Trade Representative for South and Central Asian Affairs Mark Linscott will lead the 15-member American team. Ticfa was signed with the aim to establish an annual forum to identify and address obstacles impeding the increase of bilateral trade and investment.
