Conference Chairman Ambassador Wolfgang Ischinger inaugurated it at Hotel Bayerischer Hof on Friday afternoon (local time). Besides Hasina, heads of state and government of a number of countries are among the around 450 participants of the conference. The prime minister reached Munich earlier in the day. Leaders and activists of the Awami League units in Germany and other European countries greeted Hasina with flowers at Hotel Marriott. During her two-day visit, the prime minister is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
