Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has held a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in New York on the sidelines of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Sources said they discussed Rohingya issue. However, neither Bangladesh nor Turkey made any official announcement or issued any statement after the meeting. Erdogan also discussed the Rohingya issue with around 20 world leaders. His wife Emine Erdogan flew to Bangladesh to meet the Rohingya and see the situation for herself on September 7.
