A motorcycle rally, organised by the Assam Rifles in a bid to cement the solidarity between India, Bangladesh and Myanmar, entered Tripura via Akhaura on Thursday. In order to give the riders a warm reception, a programme was held at the auditorium of the Assam Rifles 21 Sector Headquarters in Agartala. Rolling out the red carpet for the 33 participants in the motorcycle rally, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said: “The initiative taken by the Assam Rifles for strengthening the solidarity between India, Bangladesh and Myanmar is indeed praise worthy and comes at an opportune moment. In this case, this rally has helped to boost our friendship with our neighbours further,” added the Chief Minister. The motorcycle rally began on October 30, 2017.
