NEW DELHI, Dec 16, 2023 (BSS) - The Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhitoday celebrated the Victory Day of Bangladesh in a befitting manner. The day's programmes began this morning with hoisting of the national flag onthe High Commission premises and placing floral wreaths at the portrait ofthe Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Besides, messages from the President, Prime Minister,Foreign Minister and State Minister for Foreign Affairs were read out on theoccasion while a documentary on the Liberation War of Bangladesh was alsoscreened. He said that the main goal of the Liberation War was to build a liberal,developed, contributing, egalitarian and democratic state through completeemancipation. Officials and employees of the Bangladesh High Commission and expatriateBangladeshis were present at the event.
