Bangladesh’s nationwide Covid-19 vaccination starts Sunday


Five hospitals across Dhaka started administering coronavirus vaccines on January 28, a day after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated a nationwide vaccination program. Till February 4, around 150,000 people around the country have registered to receive the Covid-19 vaccine during the inoculation. Last month, Health Minister Zahid Maleque said the ministry had provided training to 42,000 health workers and volunteers to facilitate the vaccination program. Meanwhile, Covid-19 vaccine doses have arrived in 14 upazilas of Chittagong, adds UNB. Vaccine registration website www.surokkha.gov.bd is open to the public, since Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on January 27 inaugurated the vaccination campaign.
