Bangalore, June 3: A five-year-old Bangalore girl who had stepped out of her shanty to relieve herself in the early hours today was allegedly raped and left with a head injury. A police patrol found her unconscious at a roadside and took her to hospital, where a medical examination confirmed sexual abuse, additional commissioner of police Hemant Nimbalkar said. A hospital source said the girl had suffered vaginal tears and had a fractured ring finger. She continued to be in trauma but her vital signs were stable. He has allegedly confessed to the rape and would be medically examined.
