Bandits kidnap Tsangaya students in Sokoto

Bandits have gone on the rampage again after reportedly kidnapping an unspecified number of Tsangaya students in Sokoto state on Saturday. The proprietor of the school, Liman Abubakar, informed Daily Trust that the students were abducted from their school around 1:00 am on Saturday. “We are still counting the number of our students missing but 15 of them are unaccounted for so far,” Abubakar said. The proprietor said as the bandits were leaving the town, they sighted the students rushing into their rooms and kidnapped some of them. According to Abubakar, this is not the first time that bandits would be attacking Gidan Bakuso village.
