An Awami League leader was found hanging in a hotel of Cox’s Bazar on Sunday afternoon. The dead, Md Ismail, 48, was the former vice-president of Naikkhyangchhari upazila unit in Bandarban. Md Aslam Hossain, officer-in-charge of Cox’s Bazar police station, said Ismail rented a room of Hotel Palongki on Friday. On Sunday, police recovered his body when the hotel staff informed the law enforcement agency about his hanging body.
