New Delhi, Sept. 26: Bearing caning scars, BHU student Mineshi Mishra says she feels no fear. "Never before can anyone in BHU remember so many students, especially women, come out to fight for our rights. While the protest, she said, was the outcome of repeated harassment of women students, the police action was unexpected and brutal. Former BHU student union president Anand Pradhan, now a professor at Indian Institute of Mass Communication in Delhi, said"never in our 101-year history (of BHU) were women lathicharged on the campus". Delhi University Students' Union president, Rocky Tuseed of the NSUI, and the JNU's Geeta Kumari also addressed the gathering.
