These restrictions were among the President's first steps to hold the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in Ghana. There are speculations that the president may announce a lifting of the ban on social gathering and church activities. Pastor Samuel Oppong Quinine of the Jubilee Temple of the International Central Gospel Church at Palas Town in Awoshie backs calls for churches to resume. However, a Catholic family of three that had come to the Christ the King church for prayers, told the GhanaWeb team they’d prefer the restrictions to remain in place.
