more-inThe tourist spot of Yercaud will be ‘plastic-free’ from April 14, Tamil New Year Day. The district administration has proposed to ban use of plastic articles on the hill station. District Collector Rohini R. Bhajibhakare launched the campaign to create awareness among the local people, tourists, and traders for the success of the ‘plastic-free Yercaud’ project. Along with the other officials, she distributed awareness pamphlets in various parts of the hill station on Tuesday. The Collector called upon all sections of the society to extend total cooperation for the success of the ‘plastic-free Yercaud’ project.
