As coronavirus cases continue to rise in the world, Cente on Wednesday announced that it had decided to lift the ban on Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), an anti-malarial drug that has been regarded as some including President Donald Trump as the cure for coronavirus. "Department of Pharmaceuticals has approved the lifting of ban on Export of Hydroxychloroquine API as well as formulations. Manufacturers except SEZ/EOU Units have to supply 20 per cent production in the domestic market. DGFT has been asked to issue formal notification in this regard," nion Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers Sadananda Gowda stated. Department of Pharmaceuticals has approved the lifting of ban on Export of Hydroxychloroquine API as well as formulations.
