Ban 'obsessed' SNP target low level letterboxes as Scots could be hit with expensive costs to replace them

The SNP have been accused of being "obsessed with banning things" as their new target is low-level letterboxes amid claims they cause injuries. And now Scots homeowners face being banned from installing low-level letterboxes under new plans to protect postal workers from back injuries and dangerous dogs. The Scottish Government confirmed it is considering new building standards rules which would outlaw letterboxes at the bottom of a door. It is the latest change to building standards, with proposals already being developed to change EPC rules to force people into installing heat pumps. CWU regional secretary Craig Anderson said the union had fought "to outlaw low level letterboxes for many years."
