Afeez HanafiA governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, Opeyemi Bamidele, has appealed to the National Working Committee of the party to ensure that all aspirants are given equal treatment during the primary. The aspirant spoke on Tuesday after submitting his nomination form at the APC national secretariat in Abuja in company with his supporters. He warned that giving undue advantage to any aspirant could breed acrimony and cause division in the party ahead of the election. The ex-lawmaker said he was optimistic that if the primary was free and fair, he would emerge the party’s candidate. “What is the essence of a candidate that bought his way in the primary and fail in the general election?”Copyright PUNCH.
