As a result of this, Road users who normally use vehicles were forced to take bikes. He further revealed that the government has already made available a sum of 800million FCFA to rehabilitate the Bamenda wum stretch of road which has for long been in a deplorable state. Because of the bad nature of the road the Governor together with his entourage drove for three hours from Bamenda on the said highway which is normally a 36 miles journey. For the mean time, people longing to get to Wum through vehicles only have to go through the Bafoumen- Foundong stretch of road while fine-tune a temporal solution.
