The ACC cleared the chargesheeet against Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE) Sub-Assistant Engineer ASM Aref Billah, contractor Abdul Khaleq Sarker and employee Md Saiful Islam on Monday. The ACC started the case against engineer Aref and contractor Khaleq on Apr 18 last year for using bamboos instead of iron rods to build the washroom of Meghdumur Government Primary School. The builders were supposed to use iron rods in line with the construction guidelines. It suspended Aref and the ACC started the case with Gaibandha Sadar Police after the committee found the allegation true. Engineer Aref and contractor Khaleq were arrested before the filing of the case.
