BAGUIO CITY: Despite the devastation of typhoon Ompong, host Baguio City retained the 2018 Batang Pinoy overall title on Friday with 83 gold, 81 silver and 107 bronze medals. Cebu City finished second with 36 golds, 40 silvers and 44 bronzes, pushing Laguna Province and Quezon City to third and fourth places, respectively. Laguna won 34 golds, 13 silvers and 31 bronzes while Quezon City racked up 29 golds, 16 silvers and 18 bronzes. Manila finished 11th overall with 15 golds, seven silvers and seven bronzes. “I’m hoping these Batang Pinoy medalists will compete internationally,” Kiram added.
