Baguio photojournalist succumbs to COVID-19


BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Another journalist in the northern Philippines succumbed to COVID19 Tuesday morning. Cesar Reyes, 61, a photojournalist for the People's Journal, died Tuesday morning at the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center, where he had been confined since May 19. Related Stories Philippine Star correspondent Raymund Catindig writes 30Reyes tested positive for COVID-19 on May 18 after two weeks of having difficulty in breathing and a fever. He was brought to the BGH's COVID-19 isolation facility and three days later moved to the BGH Intensive Care Unit (ICU) because of very low oxygen levels. Reyes' demise from COVID-19 came after Philippine Star Cagayan correspondent Raymung Catindig also succumbed to COVID-19 towards the end of April in Ilagan City, Isabela.
