Photo: CollectedDHAKA, April 09, 2026 (BSS)- BNP candidate Rezaul Karim Badsha has been unofficially elected as a Member of Parliament in by-election to Bogura-6 (Sadar) constituency. Rezaul Karim Badsha with sheaf of paddy symbol secured 133,931 votes while his nearest rival Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Abidur Rahman got 57,159 votes with weighing scale symbol. In that election, BNP Chairman and current Prime Minister Tarique Rahman won the Bogura-6 seat by a large margin. Therefore, before taking oath, on February 16, Taique Rahman vacated Bogura-6 seat and submitted a letter to the Election Commission.
