SportThree candidates will be contesting for the President’s post at the Annual General Meeting of the Sri Lanka Badminton Association scheduled to be held on March 24. The current president Suraj Dandeniya has said that he will not be competing for the president’s post. The Badminton Association has scheduled to hold the AGM on March 24 but according to the Sports Law the accounts for the previous year (2016) should have been cleared. Former Sri Lanka Badminton President Roshan Gunewardena (2010-2011) has decided to contest the President’s post at the Annual General Meeting of the Sri Lanka Badminton Association. The Sports Ministry has informed that all AGMs should be held before May 31 but the Badminton Association has decided to bring it forward to March 24.
