Badal’s body was first brought to the premises of Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited where he spent his entire career before serving the traditional outfit as manager and organizer until his death. In the midst of hundreds of Mohammedan supporters, former and current players of the clubs showed respect to one of their most celebrated footballers and life-time member with flowers and bouquets. After around an hour at the favorite club, his body was then in the noon taken to the Bangabandhu National Stadium where he had uncountable memories as player, manager, organizer and sports administrator. Dhaka South City Corporation mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, while being present at the BNS, urged all to work together to carry out Badal’s vision to bring back football’s lost glories. The National Award winning former captain of Mohammedan and Bangladesh and three-time Bangladesh Football Federation vice-president breathed his last Sunday evening after suffering from liver cancer.
