The opening of New Zealand’s newest motorway has been postponed due to bad weather. Christchurch’s long-awaited $290 million Northern Corridor was due to be unveiled on Monday, but heavy rain and cold temperatures forced it to be delayed. It is now hoped the 10-kilometre-long motorway will open on Tuesday or Wednesday, if the temperature is above 15 degrees Celsius.
