The average pass rate in all 10 boards was 80.35 percent this year while the lowest number of candidates in Comilla - 59.03 percent - cleared the SSC and equivalent exams. The pass rate in Comilla was 84 percent last year. Out of the 41 percent failed students in this board, 37 percent were from humanities and arts and business administration streams. Comilla board officials said they would take measures after identifying the institutions from where most students failed in English and mathematics. Comilla board Chairman Abdul Khaleque said 14 percent students failed in English and 19 percent in mathematics in the board.
