A weekend of negotiation between the camps of Gove, Leadsom and May fail to produce any new alliances. Andrea Leadsom (35 supporters), Michael Gove (25 supporters) amd Stephen Crabb (21 supporters) are well behind May. Leadsom, with the backing of 30 former Johnson supporters in her back pocket, is now the clear second favourite. Leadsom supporters move to the Crabb camp, happy that the new ticket will reach out to blue-collar supporters and concerned by Leadsom’s flagging campaign. MPs vote again on July 12.
