AdvertisementThe UK is set for more sunshine and scorching temperatures this week despite getting off to a cooler start this morning. A brief respite from the Saharan Bubble heatwave comes today as rain is expected in northern parts of Scotland. Though it was a sunny start for swathes of England, commuters are facing scattered clouds and showers in the north-west. Today there will be highs of 62F (17C) in Edinburgh, 64F (18C) in Belfast and 66F (19C) in Manchester. Forecasters initially thought this week could be even hotter, but a 500-mile Greenland 'cold plume' has cooled conditions down.
