IPOH: The corpse of a newborn baby was found in a drain next to a barn behind the Politeknik Ungku Omar at Jalan Raja Musa Mahadi here Tuesday. “A post mortem was conducted by Dr Mohamad Shamson Muhamad Hamdan at the Ipoh Hospital’s mortuary later. “However, the gender and cause of death could not be determined because parts of the body and organs were missing. The post-mortem ended at 10.30am, he said, adding that the cause of death was unascertained due to decomposition. The case was being investigated under Section 318 of the Penal Code for concealment of birth by secret disposal of a dead body.
