A baby is in hospital in stable condition after being found with “traumatic injuries” in Hamilton overnight. A man remains barricaded inside the home, east of Trinity Church Road, as police negotiators work to resolve the situation. Police were called to the home at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday for an injured child. Stewart would only say the child was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition. Dave Thompson says a one-and-a-half-year-old child “suffered traumatic injuries,” and was taken by paramedics to local hospital.
