Two brokers, including a woman, and a car driver, who allegedly forced his wife to sell off their newborn baby girl were arrested. Ms. Sabila initially didn’t agree to give in adoption her newborn baby girl as sought by Ms. Khatoon. Later, she learnt that her baby was sold to a couple in Visakhapatnam for ₹ 2 lakh,” the DCP said. “Investigation revealed Ms. Khatoon sold the baby to Gangadhar who in turn sold the baby to the couple in Visakhapatnam,” Mr. Satyanarayana said. While Gangadhar and Ms. Khatoon were arrested, others were still at large.
