Uriel Hyland was on a camping trip with his father Jake, 31, and pregnant mother Jamie, 26, at a remote property in Okanogan county, east of Seattle, when the Cold Springs fire hit on Monday. The family tried to escape by road but were forced to abandon their truck, which was later found burnt, and flee on foot towards the Columbia river. They were spotted on the river bank from a Native American tribal boat early on Wednesday morning, the Okanogan county sheriff’s office said.
