Ranchi: Alleging witch-hunt by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths in the name of bribe arrests, over 800 officials of Jharkhand state administrative services on Thursday went on mass leave, the "fake" arrest of a circle officer in Hazaribagh three days ago being the immediate trigger. Prasad said they would call off their proposed five-day mass leave the moment the two probes were ordered in writing. Outfit member and sports department director Ranendra Kumar claimed Manoj was in fact having lunch at home when a man barged in, threw cash and ran off. "But, ACB sleuths caught him without hearing his version," he said. Prasad added the complainant was "a history-sheeter who implicated circle officer Manoj on false charges".
