At India Today's South Conclave 2017, SS Rajamouli, art director Sabu Cyril, producer Shobu Yarlagadda and cinematographer KK Senthil shared their working experience and challenges faced during the making of Baahubali. He said, "The day before the release of Baahubali people thought we were stupid. Baahubali: The Beginning is one of the most successful Indian films of all time and grossed Rs 600 crore worldwide. However, Shobu Yarlagadda revealed that the total budget of both the films costed Rs 450 crore. When asked about the experience, Sabu said, "I have worked in 150 films, but working for these two films (Baahubali 1&2) have been like working in 10 films."
